One More Week Needed to Complete Decking for Future Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project Underground Station

Due to recent rains the detour on Crenshaw Boulevard for construction of the Crenshaw/Expo underground station will need to be extended for an additional week in January. The extra time is required so that the decking can be completed for the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project Expo station.

Crenshaw Boulevard between Rodeo Road and the Metro Expo Line tracks will close from 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, to 6 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12.

In memoriam: Lark Galloway-Gilliam, a force for good in Leimert Park

Lark Galloway-Gilliam just worked and worked and worked. I saw few people more in the community over the past decade. She was doing things and getting things done, according the community organizations.



I didn't know her personally - but she made my life better because she made Leimert Park better and that's where I live.

Metro to Close Crenshaw Boulevard for 30 days to excavate box for light rail Crenshaw/Expo underground station



Metro and Walsh/Shea Corridor Contractors tonight will close Crenshaw Boulevard, between Jefferson Boulevard and Coliseum Street, for 30 days to begin excavation of Crenshaw/Expo underground station for the Crenshaw/LAX light rail line.

Finally! Rodeo Road will closed for two weeks beginning Friday, Oct. 24 at 9 p.m.

Metro’s contractor for the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project Walsh/Shea Corridor Contractor (WSCC), will implement a full street closure at Rodeo Road and Crenshaw Boulevard for 14 consecutive days beginning Friday, Oct. 24, to finish construction of the wall perimeter for the future underground Crenshaw/Expo light rail station.

Continuing work has been schedule around the clock from 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 through Friday, Nov. 7.
