Profile Information

So what brings you to Leimert Park Beat? Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am the North East Trees Project Manager for the La Brea Corridor Planning Study. North East Trees recently received a grant from the State’s Natural Resources Agency to conduct a planning study of the La Brea corridor in Baldwin Hills. The proposed Baldwin Hills/La Brea Planning Study will develop a recreational trail along the eastern edge of La Brea Avenue in order to connect Jim Gilliam Recreation Center on the north, Norman Houston Recreation Center on the south, and Kenneth Hahn State Recreational Area on the west. In addition, it will expand habitat and explore possible connections to existing and planned projects (Park-to-Playa, West Adams-Baldwin Hills-Leimert Community Plan, Baldwin Hills Park Master Plan, etc.).
