To make the La Brea Greenway Trail a Reality...WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Hello Leimert park and surrounding area Community Members

North East Trees has an update on the status of the proposed La Brea Greenway trail (between Jim Gilliam Park and Don Lorenzo Dr.) along S. La Brea Ave.

As a result of the Baldwin Hills S. La Brea Ave. Planning Study, North East Trees is in the process of applying for a Proposition 40 Grant with the Baldwin Hills Conservancy to make the S. La Brea Ave Greenway Trail a reality.

After submitting our proposal, we were told that…only through the support of community members and the Council District Offices would this trail become a reality.

We are asking you, the residents and community members of Leimert Park, Baldwin Hills and surrounding neighborhoods to contact your Council District Office and the Baldwin Hills Conservancy to let them know that you want and need the trail, and let them know how having the trail would benefit both you and the community.

Please…CALL…WRITE…use Social Media…and spread the word!!! We need everyone to contact their local Councilman and the BHC before their next board meeting scheduled for Sept. 16th.

Please ask for the support of your City Council member on this project-
