The 32nd annual Kingdom Day Parade 2013 is SATURDAY Jan. 19, 2013. That seems an odd date but perhaps more fun to have on Saturday rather than Monday (MLK's birthday is Jan. 15).
The “Kingdom Day Parade” starts at Western heads down King to Crenshaw takes a left and goes down to Leimert Park Village, where a festival ensues.

“His Dream Will Never Die” is the theme. The Congress of Racial Equality and Larry Grant are the organizers.
The parade is supported by LAUSD, Beyond The Bell & Radio FREE KJLH (102.3 FM) and will be televised from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m on KABC-7.
Trophies are given for 1st an 2nd places in Dance, Portable Music, Marching, Auto, VIP convertible. The best entries earn the Governors Award, Mayors Award, best bands. Parade entry costs $3000 and up for businesses, $475 for non-profits.
