What a great week for Leimert Park: More than 100 people attended the unveiling of the city's vision for Leimert Park Village on Thursday; Representatives from City Councilman Bernard Parks' office attended the Sutro Ave. Block Club summer BBQ; and THOUSANDS listened to world-class jazz at the World Stage Jazz Festival. Leimert Park will soon be a tourist destination if LA Commons plan is a success.
Karen Mack, executive director of LA Commons,
believes - and I agree - that LA is one of the world's most interesting cities. But it's difficult to penetrate.
