BLACK NILE

Black Nile, was founded by Los Angeles brothers, Aaron and Lawrence Shaw, from the USC Thorton School of Music and Berklee College of Music.  They blend sounds from many influences that are not only rooted in the foundation of Jazz but defy all genres. They have traveled the world and shared their musical talents with a wide range of renowned artists such as Phil Ranelin, Elle Varner, Herbie Hancock, Jackson Brown, Wayne Shorter, Sheila E., Tyler The Creator, Dave Chapelle, Ambrose Akinmusire, Michael Sessions, Stevie Wonder, Mary j. Bilge, and Michael Buble.

DWIGHT TRIBLE

Dwight Trible is a jazz singer who combines the best of vocal virtuosity with musicianship and improvisational skills to the delight of audiences and musicians alike. He has worked with the likes of Pharoah Sanders, Horace Tapscott and Kamasi Washington (he sings lead vocals on the Epic) and brings a deep-rooted soulfulness to everything that he sings.

BARBARA MORRISON 

Legendary singer, Barbara Morrison, is known for a melodic voice and a three-and-a-half-octave range. She interprets a familiar jazz and blues classics repertoire in a unique style, and also sings original contemporary tunes.

DERF REKLAW 

Derf Reklaw is a world renown multi-instrumentalist, composer, lecturer and educator.

KAREN A. CLARK

Karen A Clark is a songwriter and producer who also dances sings and acts. Her CD “The Karen A Clark Project is available on iTunes, cdBaby and Amazon. Her 3^rd CD "Never Die” will be out by year end.

Brimmer Street Theatre Company is thrilled to host the open mic talent showcase at this year’s Soirée! 

All ages are invited to share their talent with the community! The talent showcase will take place from 1:00-1:45 p.m. on the main stage.
