That's a number at the Los Angeles Police Department where they will tell you why theres a chopper circling your neighborhood. Thanks LAist!

The LAPD has the largest municipal airborne law enforcement operation in the world with 17 helicopters and one twin engine plane.

You can also ask them to fly higher over South LA when en route.
