DISCONNECT IN AN AFRICAN-AMERICAN NEIGHBORHOOD

It occured to me the other day, that the "soul food" restuarant in my neighborhood isn't run by African Americans, Africans nor any person with African roots! How can this business be so successful?

I appreciate food businesses that bring their food into my neighborhood for me to enjoy when I'm in the mood for something different. But, I have an issue with an establishment cooking foods that appeal to me but they don't eat it themselves!!! Being from the southeastern part of the…

Rosa Parks Makes History... Again - February 27 2013 On Capital Hill, Washington D.C. *BLACK HISTORY MONTH TRIBUTE*

Police Copters

What is up with the police helicopters flying over the mall every night between 8 and 9? They fly so low some nights they shake the house. They circle with their bright light and then they fly away.  That does not happen on the westside. Why here?  There can't possibly be that much crime activity the same time every night. Is this something that community leaders asked for? I'm new so enlighten me.
