On Saturday, October 25, 2014, the Mayme Clayton Library and Museum of African American Culture will be collecting donations to its Goodwill Donation Drive Fundraiser.

Come and drop off gently used apparel, household items, books, DVDs, electronics (working or not) at the Goodwill Collection Truck parked in the parking lot of the Mayme Clayton Library and Museum from 9 AM to 1 PM.

Rodeo Road at Crenshaw Boulevard set to close for two weeks beginning Friday, Oct. 3



Metro’s contractor for the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project Walsh/Shea Corridor Contractor (WSCC), will implement a full street closure at Rodeo Road and Crenshaw Boulevard for 14 consecutive days beginning Friday, Oct. 3, to finish construction of the wall perimeter for the future underground Crenshaw/Expo light rail station.

Three Full Street Closures this Weekend on Crenshaw Boulevard to Continue Building Underground Light-Rail Stations

Work on three of the future underground Crenshaw/LAX light rail stations will shut down Crenshaw Boulevard at three different locations this weekend beginning Friday night until Monday morning. The closures are needed to reconfigure traffic lanes at Crenshaw/Vernon and Crenshaw/MLK stations and on Crenshaw/Expo, Metro and Walsh/Shea Corridor Contractors (WSCC) will begin pile installation on the south wall.
