3-story building on fire on Crenshaw in Leimert Park

At 3:30 p.m., the South LA Report tweeted there is a fire burning in a 3-story building at 4343 S. Crenshaw in Leimert Park. That is right at Degnan. Hoping everything's OK. Can anyone give a report?

The Royal Couple Visits Los Angles; A few things for William and Kate to do while in LA

Prince William and his wife, Catherine, will be visiting Los Angeles from July 8 to July 10. Their itinerary is packed with official visits, businesses events to encourage U.K. investment, and, inevitably, a charity polo match. But since they’re in town anyway, we thought we’d suggest some other places we think they would like in our fair city.…

ARE NIGHTLY HELICOPTER PATROLS THE MOST EFFECTIVE WAY TO WIN THE WAR ON CRIME, IN L.A.?

I moved to L.A. back in the mid-80's from Kent, OH, a town so small compared to L.A. that it might be deemed "rural." My first experiences in L.A. with the police helicopter occurred when I lived for one quarter, as a grad student at UCLA, near the intersection of Washington and LaBrea.
