BrittiCares is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization whose mission is ‘Helping Children Survive Cancer’ one smile at a time. BrittiCares was founded by Brittiana Renee Henderson who was diagnosed with bone cancer at the age of 10 and unfortunately passed away at the age of 13 due to complications of a secondary cancer, (AML) leukemia.

BrittiCares most demanding and requested wish program is their ‘Imagine Me’ Dream Bedroom Makeovers. Kids diagnosed with cancer spend so much time in the hospital and when they are released, they are excited to go home to their own personal space. What a better way to find out a patient’s favorite theme, and have them arrive home and walk into a dream space that they only once imagined.

If BrittiCares becomes the recipient of the 2014 Los Angeles LAKERS YOUTH FOUNDATION YOU GRANT, the funds will be used to help sponsor ‘Imagine Me’ Dream Bedroom Makeovers to turn young cancer patient’s imagination into a reality and help make their diagnosis and battle a little easier.
