Leimert Park Village Book Fair -10 to 6, Saturday, June 26 at 43rd Street and Degnan is free and open to the public.
More than 150 authors, poets, spoken word performers, artists, and celebrities are confirmed to participate in the day’s activities. Some
of the book fair’s participants include Oscar- and Emmy-winner Louis
Gossett Jr., Pulitzer Prize-winner Douglas Blackmon, Emmy-nominated
music director Rickey Minor of “American Idol” and now the “The Tonight
Show,” prominent literary giant Ishmael Reed as well as such crowd
pleasers as New York Times best selling romance novelist Eric Jerome
Dickey, advertising guru Tom Burrell of Burrell Communications, reality
star NeNe Leakes from Bravo’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta” and Daymond
John, founder and CEO of the FUBU clothing line and one of the
“sharks” on ABC’s reality show, “Shark Tank.”
