Jun. 6, 2014 - LOS ANGELES, Calif.   Cancer Survivors will take to the runway in Summer Fashions, as their inspiring stories of victory are narrated for the audience. This inspiring event will be held at the Taglyan Complex, located at 1201 Vine Street., Los Angeles, CA 90038, on Thursday, June 26, 2014, from 5:30pm until 10:00pm. Proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society's 'Relay For Life'.

"Events in the City LA is privileged to showcase and celebrate these women who've battled cancer and won," said Events in the City LA Founder, Sweeney Mae. "Our designers are pulling out their newest and best fashions of the season to highlight these amazing ladies and the wonderful young adults who are also a part of this event."

Styles to be unveiled on the runway will include JCPenney and Sears featuring the Kardashian Kollection, showcasing some of their hottest summer trends, Sue Wong award winning couture designer and House of Yere (swimwear), as well as Verenisse Machado Designs, Danny Massare of Tanari Jewelry, Lizaso, Pisidia USA, Neva Marie Designs, The Write Fit, Meca Smith, Crespatrick de llos Reyes, Jason Oliver, Rochell Porter and Jazmyne Procks.

Keynote Speaker Mark Antonio Grant serves as a Representative for Councilman Bill Rosendahl, and is also a cancer survivor and American Cancer Society’s Hero of Hope/Profile of Courage recipient. Mark will share his experience and encouraging others to join in the battle. Mistress of Ceremony will be the incomparable actress and director, Taja V. Simpson. You know her from The Bold & The Beautiful, Grey’s Anatomy, Nickelodeon’s The Thunderman’s, NCIS: LA, among others.
