Via Community Health Councils:
On Thursday, Jan. 5, the Los Angeles Department of City Planning will hold a scoping meeting on the Environmental Impact Report required for the Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market at Crenshaw and 52nd Street.
Click here to view the case information summary.
This Thursday’s scoping meeting is intended to collect community input. The current scope includes the sale of alcohol, extended truck delivery times, and minor deviations from the parking and design regulations; all of which were approved by City Council at the December 2010 hearing, and by the South Los Angeles Area Planning Commission at the appeal hearing in July 2011.
"Despite numerous delays, Fresh & Easy remains committed to developing a full-service grocery store at the 52nd street," the CHC stated. "We must continue to demonstrate consistent support for the development of healthy food retail options in our neighborhood."
The meeting will take place:
Thursday, January 5, 5 pm to 8 pm
Department of Water & Power Auditorium, 4030 Crenshaw Boulevard
Speak one-on-one with City staff and the consultants hired to prepare the EIR.

That's great, I don't live in the community but I am excited that a store with healthy options is willing to open there.
Yes! This definitely something needed and will benefit all. Thanks Eddie for sharing.
