Thank you for focusing on this disaster preparedness event that will take place in South Los Angeles during October 2015.  Until then, here is a link to LAFD's emergency training courses that are currently underway.   They will end soon, but the next session of classes will begin during the first week in May and will be posted posted soon. Classes are free and available to anyone.  You will find a great community of caring individuals who take these classes and want to help our neighborhoods prepare now as well in a time of need.  If someone needs to take a makeup class, he/she can find a session at this link, too (but will need  take a completed makeup form with them.  Makeup forms are on the site.)
