Sometime ago, I voiced my issues with cars left parked in front of my home and the lack of DOT's response. The current parking limit of 72 hrs. is outdated. Calls I make to report violation of this law goes unheeded. Case in point, called Thursday, May 26 to report a car parked on Tuesday, May 24; of course, they sent no one out and the car is still parked there. I am fed up with our neighborhoods being cluttered with cars. As a tax paying citizen, I expect to get the same response as those living in Beverly Hills, Cheviot Hills, etc. If anyone else feels this way, please respond. I would like to start a petition or some other action to have regulated permit parking a standard on all Los Angeles residential neighborhoods or at least have the 72 hrs. law reduced to twelve hours and no overnight parking.
