- So what brings you to Leimert Park Beat? Tell us a little bit about yourself.
- I own a business that provides tours of Los Angeles. This company is different because we provide tours of south Los Angeles, Watts and Compton as well as other areas of the city. As well as a native of Los Angeles and amateur historian I enjoy exploring around town. Finding this site is great because I can keep up with what's going on in the village for without always needing to drive over. I like to be involved with other communities as well as the one I live in.

This Saturday will be the third weekend in the month of June so you know what that means right? Well yes. Sunday is Father's Day. But I'm talking specifically about the state holiday that takes place each year on the third Saturday in June ever since Governor Gray Davis signed into law Assembly Bill 1749 in 2002 and Senate Bill 812 in 2003.
