It was lovely seeing you at my house last week. Thank you so much for sitting with me at my dinning room table for 2 hours and actually LISTENING to me about all the changes we need to make here in the Crenshaw Community (CD10).
AND thank you for your pledge to establish a weekly eNewsletter full of jobs, activities for the children, community news/events and a list of our local merchants. This is so vital to keeping the community engaged, inspired and active! If we can create a strong, consistent eNewsletter like the one that Bernie Parks sent out every week--that would be great! It's what really inspired me to get involved in contributing to the legacy of the community. I'm at your service to help make this happen!!
Also, I loved what you said--that you plan to focus first on maintenance of our urban environment--potholes, street lights, fixing the sidewalks, cleaning up the alleys and trimming the trees. Sounds like just what we need REAL ACTION to keep our neighborhood beautiful.
And I'm glad that you understand how important it is to establish a solid plan for better Public Safety. This is going to be a very hot issue that I know you'll be able to handle!
