So what brings you to Leimert Park Beat? Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I grew up in Leimert Park area for 39 years. I consider Leimert Park my home. My mother owned property on 43rd place. The beautiful duplex and homes that are in the neighborhood have more detail of glamour more then any homes I've every seen. I attended 42nd Street school, Audubon, Crenshaw. My oldest son age 11 attended Windsor Hills.

Good times at:
Thrifty's on Degnan when it was open,5th Street Dicks, Cheerios, The World Stage, Bumpy's, going to Herberts Liquor store for candy when it was Herberts, Blooms liquor store before it was burned to the ground, and even my cousins Bar-B-Que spot on Vernon and 8th Ave. before it was A-1 burgers.I remember Budha's Market. Also the Clubs, like The Total Experience, Pide Piper, Mavericks Flat.
Last song I heard or I sang:
Con Funk son That's the way it goes on Loves Train.
