    Hey Heather!
what a nice surprise a have a message from you!
A mum of two huh? double the trouble! haha!
Yes im a mummy too to my little girl Devon, she's 2 1/2. she is absolutely beautiful although, as you know, they have their moments! especially at this age.
Spain, well what can i say? Is the most fantastic country I have ever seen! we have lived here now for 1 1/2 years and we love it! The beaches, the mountains, the flamenco, the language. I love it all. The Spanish are relaxed easy people who fall over themselves to make you welcome. Its exactly the place where I want my daughter to grow up, amongst happy smiley people.
So how is L.A? very diverse i expect, I would love to visit one day... and experience it first hand.
I am looking for a penfriend from L.A... to share different lives, cultures etc. Why L.A..? i dont really know I guess its because i know nothing about it (coming from England now living in Spain) Im curious!
Well i hope live is treating you well Heather, take care... and your boys!

    Hi Heather!

Thank you so much! Im going to try to make the Eso Won event. there is something there today with Nikki Giovanna, im going to try to get there today. Hopefully saturday as well. I didn't know about Spike Lee until this message.

Yes, I spoke with Mr. Cathay and he told me he was already speaking to the Urban League about the same thing for about 2 years now. He said to call him in 6 months and maybe in the future we can still connect along with what they do with the Urban League.

Heather Lee, I rarely use the social network aspects of online services. Thus, I only today found a friend request from you on Enhanger's "Leimert Park Beat" web site. Otherwise, I would have responded way back in December, 2010 when you sent it! Anyway, I have replied to the friend request in the affirmative. Sorry to be so long. Peace, Lee Walker (Leimert Park resident since 1999 and Area Three Rep on the Empowerment Congress West Area Neighborhood Development Council.)

Hi Heather,  I really do miss Leimert Park, Baldwin Hills, and Windsor Hills. I was raised in Leimert Park. At one time A few people was thinking about naming Leimert Park, "The Little Africa". I remember when Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd was Santa Barbara, when Baldwin Hills Mall was Crenshaw shopping center with Von's, The Broadway, small little shopping stores, that I as A child use to enjoy going too and shopping with my family. I miss FEDCO, and where Krispy Kreme Doughnuts is located on Martin Luther King Jr. and Crenshaw was A gas station. It was very interesting growing up, and now that I am a little older, 8-), I now see some of the Landmarks that still exist when I was growing up. It is fantastic to see a wonderful Community standing strong and keeping A popular Place like Leimert Park Popping. The Festivities that are still going on is fabulous. I Love Leimert and We Truly Miss Leimert Park so Much. Take care of yourself Heather.  Love Berti

Hi, HP. Looking forward to catching up with you. Will have to be on the weekend, though. The longer commute cuts into my spare time during the week and work is good  but takes a lot of time. I know you're in touch with that emotion.;)

  • Allison Grover Khoury

Hi Heather - so sorry it has taken me so long to reply - really busy month!!!!

    My blog is http://allisonreadschildrensbooks.blogspot.com/

I'm trying to get caught - have been behind all year and posted WAY less than I wanted to, hoped to.

A few months a go, I discovered a big popular blog using the same cute template as mine, throwing me into a frantic search for something better and I'm still looking. I changed to something that works temporarily, but I'm not thrilled with it.

I'd love to connect with you - what is your blog about?

Sadly I'm not in MochaMoms - hadn't heard of them. Looks really cool, however.

    Take care,
    Allison

  • Tim Tobish

    Thanks for the friend request!!!

Thanks for the welcome Heather.  I just closed on the house, moving in the first weekend of May, so I haven't actually lived there yet.  I was searching for a house all over South LA, and as soon as I saw Leimert Park, I know I had to live there!

  • Tim Tobish

Love the blog.  I looked at the 4118 5th Avenue house.

  • Dr. Angela Butts Chester

Thank you so much for that warm welcome. I would love to keep you posted. You will hear from me soon.
