So what brings you to Leimert Park Beat? Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I grew up in Leimert Park area for 39 years. I consider Leimert Park my home. My mother owned property on 43rd place. The beautiful duplex and homes that are in the neighborhood have more detail of glamour more then any homes I've every seen. I attended 42nd Street school, Audubon, Crenshaw. My oldest son age 11 attended Windsor Hills.

I looked it up myself online. I Just miss Home and wanted to see it again.
Good times at:
Thrifty's on Degnan when it was open,5th Street Dicks, Cheerios, The World Stage, Bumpy's, going to Herberts Liquor store for candy when it was Herberts, Blooms liquor store before it was burned to the ground, and even my cousins Bar-B-Que spot on Vernon and 8th Ave. before it was A-1 burgers.I remember Budha's Market. Also the Clubs, like The Total Experience, Pide Piper, Mavericks Flat.

I worked for the Neighborhood watch as patrol, my mother and grandmother was with 43rd place Block Club. I remember A Ms. Barbara that was over the Neighborhood watch, her and my play dad Ben.
