Dr. Angela Butts Chester is unwavering about transforming the lives of faith-based purpose-driven women all around the world. With her charismatic personality, she has a keen ability to challenge her audience and/or clients to overcome limiting beliefs, (re)discover themselves, and expand their mindsets.

Whether one-on-one or in a group setting, Dr. Angela equips others with motivational tips/tools, and actionable strategies to assist them in taking immediate steps toward living a more abundant life.

A Pastoral Counselor in private practice, this author, cancer survivor, and host of faith talk radio show Daily Spark with Dr. Angela and its sister show, Daily Spark TV, has built a career spanning more than 20 years and hundreds and thousands of people counseled. Dr. Chester has also served as an Associate Pastor and has built a reputation as a thought leader on issues related to motivation and Christian empowerment as an international motivational speaker.


A native Virginian, she is the granddaughter of the late Atty. Williams Davis Butts (the same mentioned in the novel Hidden Figures) whom practiced civil law in Newport News. As an Elder, she is the Co-Minister of the Young Adult (18-25) Ministry, as well as, President of the Women's Ministry at her church.


Dr. Chester currently is a member of the International Society for Mental Health, the Global Christian Professional Women’s Association (GCPWA), and the International Women’s Leadership Association. Dr. Chester holds degrees in Pastoral Counseling (Psychology) and Divinity.
She is the author of numerous books, including Before You Tie the Knot – A Premarital Counseling Workbook for the D.I.Y Couple. The podcast host of Modern Living with Dr. Angela on iHeartRadio. Creator and host of the award-winning show Daily Spark TV which airs on Preach the Word Network, Roku, and Vimeo.
