Multicultural community arts and culinary destination, Mercado La Paloma is excited to announce new FREE events celebrating the culture and spirit of Thailand for its latest installment of their critically-acclaimed “Cultural Continuum”series.

The Mercado will present various artistic activities during the month of April leading to their Thai New Year Festival. The first is a free shadow puppet presentation and workshop on April 20^th from 7pm-9pm led by Leslie K. Gray, Artistic Director of Triumvirate Pi Theater. The interactive workshop will be followed by a special presentation of “Change the World,” a family-friendly overhead projector shadow show entitled, "Out of the Shadows: A Night of Community Expressions and Conversations." The show hopes to create an open forum and stimulate dialogue about possible “fracking” projects in local neighborhoods. Those in attendance will witness an incredible display of dexterity and storytelling.
