We are very pleased to announce the return of our very own WOMEN'S VOICES in another fantastic show, titled "My Funny Valentine". Experience the rich heritage of the spoken word tradition with this ensemble group of storytellers who will present performances of original, personal stories they developed in their "Tell Me a Story" workshop. The "front porch ladies" are gathering at the home of a friend, to help finish off refreshments and take down decorations remaining from the Valentine's Day party held the day before. Come and "eavesdrop" on this colorful group of women, as they share stories of their own unusual and funny valentines. You will be the proverbial "fly on the wall", and be transported as Barbara White, Gwen Chambers, Marion Hinton, Elizabeth McClodden, Barbara Hunter and Roylene Walker share these stories that celebrate their lives and memories, and reflect that there are many different kinds of love. We'd love to have you share in the festivities and enjoy an afternoon of great entertainment. You can buy tickets online http://womensvoicesvalentine.eventbrite.com or by visiting our website: http://www.imalosangeles.com. You may also pay by cash, check or credit card, at the IMA office, while supplies last. Tickets for the performance are $20.00. Ours is a small, intimate theater, and we do expect that this concert will sell out. So please, purchase your tickets today. As is our custom at the Institute of Musical Arts, a catered reception will follow the performance. We really hate the thought of disappointing anyone, so please call us at least TWO HOURS BEFORE the performance to verify ticket availability if you do not purchase your ticket in advance. For additional information call: (323) 300-6578.
