Join BrittiCares International, a 501 (C) (3) nonprofit as they host their 7th Annual Give Life for Christmas Blood Drive. Co-hosted by actor Nadji Jeter from the hit film Grown Ups, the blood drive will include live performances, face painting, raffle giveaways, free food for donors and an appearance by the man of the hour, Santa Claus. According to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles’ the holiday seasons are their slowest time for blood donations. BrittiCares is seeking to change that this season by encouraging the Los Angeles community to donate blood.  The American Red Cross reports one pint of blood can save up to three lives. Donors are urged to eat a healthy breakfast before donating blood and be free of any colds or flu.  In addition, donors must be at least 17-years-old and adults must accompany children at all times. Pre-registration is encouraged at www.britticares.org, however it is not required.
