Ebony Repertory Theatre presents “Paul Robeson” starring two-time Emmy Award Winner Keith David, in a powerful chronicle of his life. Written and Directed by Phillip Hayes Dean. October 16 – October 19, 2014. Description:

 

A powerful chronicle of the life of Paul Robeson, from his childhood in New Jersey to his adult life around the world. An All-American athlete and a lawyer with Columbia Law School credentials, Robeson faced the racism prevalent in twentieth century society. He was denied the pursuit of his profession, blacklisted and had his passport revoked for eight years. It is Robeson's triumph in his struggle against racism that shines as a beacon to those struggling to make this world a better place.
