Event Description

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. :A Tribute In Song

Guidance Church is proud to present "Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.:A Tribute In Song" on Sunday, April 3rd, 2011 at 1:30 pm during the last days of the Season For Peace & Nonviolence (Jan. 30th thru Apr. 4th)

This musical production will feature the melodious voice of the incomparable, Lura Daniels-Ball, with keyboardist extraordinaire, Danny Burgin,  to accompany.  This play was written by Ms J.M. Morris, who will be in attendance.  This is our second year presenting this marvelous production that wowed the audience to the degree that we brought it back for those who didn't get a chance to see it last year.

It is of lasting importance for us to remember the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.,  His mission and purpose driven life is a testament to the power of one who transformed American History, forging the path for hope and inspiration that continues today.  The moving and emotional journey of his life brings one to reflect and celebrate a life dedicated to bringing the light of freedom to the masses.

In addition to the tribute there will be an exhibit on the lives of Dr. King and Gandhi: peace pioneers. This one of a kind exhibit, we have on loan, will be present for this one day only. This event is open to the public, a love donation will be appreciated.

                                   ~

This event is presented by the Guidance Church Season for Peace & Nonviolence Committee.
