In 2015, Ms. Thais-Williams celebrated the closing of her Catch-One Disco, a gathering place for LGBT African Americans for over 40 years. Located at the corner of Pico Boulevard and Norton Avenue, this venue provided sanctuary where all could escape the harsh realities of racism and homophobia. It also served as a haven for entertainers, artist and those who appreciated diversity. This event is free and open to the public.
