The largest nationally recognized community-based outreach campaign specifically designed to engage fathers in the education of their children beginning the first day of school. Founded in a Southside Chicago church by Black Star Project Executive Director, Phillip Jackson, and nine other men in 2004. The campaign has now reached international acclaim; 2013 marks Los Angeles County’s 5th Annual Million Father March.
The "2013 Los Angeles Million Father March" will be a game changer like no other. Fathers throughout the Los Angeles come together to "Huddle" in support of their child's education beginning the first day of school. This history-making event draws fathers from all backgrounds, ethnicities and ages to celebrate and share success building principles that ensure their children achieve academically, socially, and economically. There will be food, drawings, resources, and more! Bring your child(ren) and share the power of fatherhood and legacy building at the 2013 Los Angeles Million Father March!
We invite everyone to join us in our effort to promote Fatherhood Engagement!!!
