Hello Friends -- A Planning Charrette follow-up meeting will be convened in partnership with the ECWANDC onMarch 1st @ 9:30 am at the Vision Theatre to continue discussions on the infrastructure plans, TOD development and financing concepts and the branding/marketing business development and tourism attraction strategies - "How Do We Make It Happen?"We encourage all stakeholders, partners and supporters to take time to review the assessment tool links listed in the program and below so that we can work to build on "What We Know" as we move the process forward.

The initial meetings for the Ad Hoc Groups will be held on Monday February 24th from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. Each group will set their meeting times thereafter. Groups will provide reports back to the Stakeholder Committee as they make progress on their tasks. Please note that if your name is not on any Ad Hoc Group please feel free to join an effort. Monday Morning Stakeholder Meeting Focus
The Stakeholders Committee will continue to hold its standard 10:00 Monday Morning Meetings to bring key issues to the table that will help assess and implement the Initiative objectives.
February 3rd: Discussion regarding naming themes and concepts for Leimert Park Village.
We had great presentations by several presenters. The presentations will be uploaded this week. Here are the notes on the various names and concepts discussed.
February 10th:
- 10:00 am to 11:15 am - The Department of City Planning presented to the Crenshaw Corridor Streetscape Plan Draft to the Stakeholder. Patricia Diefenderfer and Planning staff provided a presentation on the Draft Crenshaw Corridor Streetscape Plan. Leimert Park Village (LPV) 20|20 Vision Initiative is being commissioned by the Greater Leimert Park Village Crenshaw Corridor Business Improvement District (GLPVCC) and the Empowerment Congress West Area Neighborhood Council (ECWANC) in partnership with the Leimert Park Stakeholders.
Over the next 6 years to 2020, the Initiative will implement business and economic development strategies to leverage revitalization opportunities catalyzed by the upcoming installation of the Leimert Park Village Metro station.
The Leimert Park Stakeholders would like to thank Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas, Council President Herb J. Wesson, Jr. and Councilmember Bernard C. Parks for their dedicated leadership and support.
