Since the article kinda meanders out of Leimert Park's boundaries... Also good are Melachia's Savory Meals on La Brea (in the old Baldwin Theatre retail complex @ Coliseum/La Brea), CJ's Coffee Shop on La Brea (for credible soul food, since Mama's Place is sadly no more), & Float Cafe at the Baldwin Hills Farmers Market on Saturdays.
PS: Creole Chef is doing Fat Tuesday at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church.
I wasn't too busy - http://www.leimertparkbeat.com/profiles/blogs/best-tacos-in-the-city-right-here-in-leimert-park. Now you can order there and they will call you when the tacos are ready.

Ah... she must not have had enough time or else the article would have mentioned the delicious (but crazy s-l-o-w) Worldwide Tacos on King.
