Since the article kinda meanders out of Leimert Park's boundaries...  Also good are Melachia's Savory Meals on La Brea (in the old Baldwin Theatre retail complex @ Coliseum/La Brea), CJ's Coffee Shop on La Brea (for credible soul food, since Mama's Place is sadly no more), & Float Cafe at the Baldwin Hills Farmers Market on Saturdays.

PS:  Creole Chef is doing Fat Tuesday at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church.

Ah... she must not have had enough time or else the article would have mentioned the delicious (but crazy s-l-o-w) Worldwide Tacos on King.

Burning Heart Bluegrass Returns to Joxer Daly's

Joxer Daly's, Culver City's favorite Irish Pub, is thrilled to bring back Burning Heart Bluegrass for an evening of hard-driving, high-lonesome Bluegrass music. There is nothing like the sound of guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, and doghouse bass when they get into that special Bluegrass groove. Add to that high-powered vocals and soaring harmonies and you have Burning Heart Bluegrass. Check out their videos…
