Downtown Culver City will be even closer by the end of summer. USC is just minutes away. Downtown Los Angeles with no parking hassles. And then connect to lines that can take you to east Los Angeles, Pasadena, Long Beach, Hollywood.
60 years after the commuter trains left Leimert Park and the Expo tracks, Saturday was all aboard time once again.
And beyond where we can go and what we can see, the Expo Line also gives millions of people access to the amenities of our neighborhood - Leimert Park Village, Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza, Earlez Grille, and all the secondary and tertiary local stores that could benefit from outside patrons.
It's nice to be connected.

Comment by Kim Vinson on April 29, 2012 at 8:23am Great article Eddie! What a inspiring story and chapter for Los Angeles. It is a joyous moment reasons to numerous to name. I feel this is also part of the healing process in another dark chapter of history in Los Angeles that occurred 20 years ago to date. The Rodney King Verdicts and reaction of many to years of injustice, inequality, discrimination, and division. The Expo line open will serve as symbolic and instrumental in bring hope to Los Angeles.
