So what brings you to Leimert Park Beat? Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I own a business that provides tours of Los Angeles. This company is different because we provide tours of south Los Angeles, Watts and Compton as well as other areas of the city. As well as a native of Los Angeles and amateur historian I enjoy exploring around town. Finding this site is great because I can keep up with what's going on in the village for without always needing to drive over. I like to be involved with other communities as well as the one I live in.

What? You need a hint? Okay..."They" say that on this day the appropriate thing to eat is barbeque and red soda water.…

La Brea Corridor Community Presentations, Workshops & Surveys

The importance of community participation can not be stressed enough. The success of the project is determined by the involvement of the community. In the end, this planning study will be a reflection of the needs and vision of the Baldwin Hills, West Adams, Leimert Park, Windsor Hills, and surrounding communities. Although this is simply a vision plan, it can become the catalyst for the transformation of this important S. La Brea Avenue corridor. We encourage community members to participate…See More
