Aug. 6 it's Kool & the Gang saxist Louis Van Taylor. On Fri. Aug. 13 fine young tenor man Randal Fisher. On Fri. Aug. 20 fine older tenor man Bob Sheppard. On Fri. Aug. 27 Waberi Jordan. Donations encouraged.
LACMA has restarted its series of Friday 6pm outdoor (J)azz concerts on a (free) ticketed, limited basis. On Fri. Aug. 20 it's Phil Ranelin. (RSVP's online only) Check in here.
