I am hearing a lot of anger from many black people who are uttering reverse racist comments and attitudes towards their fellow white Americans. 

I say No to that and it is counterproductive  towards the real truth and serves to allow those in power the same old games they have run on poor and middle class people for hundreds of years … dating all the way back to the slave days.

I moved to L.A. back in the mid-80's from Kent, OH, a town so small compared to L.A. that it might be deemed "rural." My first experiences in L.A. with the police helicopter occurred when I lived for one quarter, as a grad student at UCLA, near the intersection of Washington and LaBrea.

I just talked to the LAPD for an update on the incident near West Vernon and 9th avenues - stolen car - illegally parked - reported by a good vigilant neighbor - fireworks found. Surrounding homes evacuated for a few hours in case the fireworks were bombs. All clear.

It was close but I think Los Angeles ended the year with less than 300 killings – something that hasn't happened since 1967, when the population was almost 30% smaller.
