So what brings you to Leimert Park Beat? Tell us a little bit about yourself.
My grandmother recently passed away. She lived in the senior home right across the street from Leimert Park and was always participating in various events that were held there year around. She and I were very close and she taught me the importance of cultural awareness. I was raised to be proud of who I am!
