Community Development:

1. Engage community beautification grants to completely remodel our district.
2. Revitalize South Central a progressive economic development.
3. Renewable energy jobs in South Los Angeles.
4. Advancing a new era making South Los Angeles the most technologically advanced city in the United States.
5. Promote Liquor store and fast food reductions.
6. Create and develop jobs in South Central (more corporate office positions with benefits).
7. Access up to 150k minority business grants/loans for small business/start-up business and entrepreneurs.
8. Access up to 150k grants/loans for community development programs.
9. Utilize solar panels for residential and business residents (Having solar panels reduces your electricity bills).
10. Rebuild our neighborhoods, streets, parks and interior.
11. Promote movie/music studio production schools/performance arts theater.
12. Provide modern high-Tech computer labs and entrepreneur business facilities for residents of Los Angeles.
13. Host an annual Parent and Child Day - like a family reunion where kids and parents can socialize with other families and enjoy an eventful day of family games, competition events, trophies and barbecue/food at local parks.
14. Plant more trees, installing new grass, and rebuilding our curb appeal.

Education:

1. Help plant the seed for a Los Angeles Prestigious Black & Hispanic University.
2. Plant the seed for a prestigious Boarding School from 6th through 12 grades.
3. Provide internship programs for LAUSD oversight (track the waste).
4. Substantial minority grants for students going to college.
5. Build more afterschool educational and entertaining facilities for kids.
6. Add finance and ethics to our schools’ curriculum.
7. Teach kids about “Life” and what to expect in life as they get older.
8. Bring back music, woodshop, auto mechanics and more trade/occupational education programs to our schools.
9. Make communication a key educational concentration in our schools.
10. One-on-one afterschool training with teacher and student 3 times per week.
11. Family incentive programs for educating their kids starting at 2 years old.
12. College internship programs for teaching kids starting at 2 years old.
13. Internship programs for students 12 and up (giving them the opportunity to explore their career opportunities).
14. More frequent educational field-trips.



As councilman, Daniel Klinton Barnett’s agenda is a simple one: to empower the residents of Los Angeles by returning the reins of control where they belong, with the people. We all know there are numerous steps in this process, many of which are detailed below, but ultimately the ideas of the people are what politicians need to hear. It’s those ideas your councilman should implement; your concerns they should address; your challenges they should strive to overcome. The politicians of Los Angeles have become far too complacent, forwarding their own agendas at the expense of the people. Politicians have become champions of the status quo instead of the people. Where is the faith in the peoples’ ability to be forward thinkers? Where is the faith in the peoples’ ability to forge their own destinies? This is where Daniel Klinton Barnett steps in to correct decades of mismanagement of the peoples’ ideas. Daniel Klinton Barnett will stand united with the people as their voice, letting politicians across this nation know, HERE WE COME.
