Event Description

Join the California African American Museum as Shana L. Redmond, Ph.D discusses how the Black preacher and gospel music have made an enduring impact upon modern secular music.  The musical styling of iconic R & B vocalists will be examined.  This event is in connection with CAAM’s exhibition Go Tell It On The Mountain, on view through April 27, 2013.  This event is free and open to the public.
