The Central Avenue Book Festival will celebrate both new and popular authors with day long activities to include book signings, readings, discussions, wine tasting and tours of the iconic African American Firefighters Museum.
The Festival will welcome authors including L.C. Green, George Fraser, Martha Tucker, Rev. Alfreda Lanoix, Dr. KwakuPerson-Lynn, Bill Overton, Valerie Jackson, Valerie Goodloe, Richard O. Jones and Tracy Brooks.
The Festival will honor Eric Jerome Dickey for literary excellence that includes characters and content specific to greater Los Angeles; Picolo Lewis, owner of Picolo Book Stores for his community service and programs and Josefa Salinas as the newly appointed Library Commissioner for the city of Los Angeles.
The admission is free. There is on street parking. Tours of the museum are $3 with the proceeds to benefit the Junior Firefighter Youth Foundation.
