Perhaps a little inside small town politics, but it's pretty funny when you know the whole story.
Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa at the MLK King Day Parade calling out Damien Goodmon by name for the chosen photo regarding the Leimert Park Crenshaw Light Rail that will one day travel from Wilshire to LAX along Crenshaw. The mayor has not lent much to support to building a subway stop at this cultural touchstone destination. Damien somewhat successfully caused the Expo line to build another stop and slower speeds around Farmdale and Exposition. The delays, in some part, also cost millions of dollars to the Expo Line construction.
Now Damien has taken up the much more popular stand of adding a stop at Leimert Park Village, the Soul of Los Angeles.
It does show the inroads Damien has made that the mayor would jokingly call him out by name about the poster.
