This is an article I did on the LABeez about the perspective of Mr. Elmer Moore. He turned 90 on the day Obama gave his economic package. He was ten years old during the crash of 1929. He is a long time Leimert Park resident.
Thank you and yes. I sign books everywhere I go. I'll be updating my calendar this weekend for the month of May. I'll be sure to update this site. Also feel free to log on to the website @ www.shanetdennis.com
Thank you very much for your comments and your support. Hassan Khan indeed is a legend and shared "Insider" stories most of us would never know... Sam Pace was also an exciting person to meet and I will definitely let you know when I have him back on the show. Speaking of legends, Lamonte Mclemore, original member of legendary five time Grammy award winning vocal group, The 5th Dimension will be with us on May 21st. Hope you can tune in!
Hello Eddie,
I know I haven't spent much time on this site (not since I originally signed up when it started), but I have spent some time in Leimert Park. I have been happily attending the Farmer's Market on 43rd and Degnan on Saturdays starting at 10am. Very cool. The South Central Farmers Collective is there, among others. It is a great thing. I will have to spend more attention to this blog as we are in the same boat over here in Manchester/Vermont. Same elected officials, if you get my drift. Anyway, good for your Eddie for starting and continuing this.

Thank you for featuring a couple of my blogs. On March 12th we feature a member of the 70's/80's soul funk group WAR now known as The Original Lowriders. We also featured Sam Pace, as you know, the creator of this site's art.
:O)
Thanks for all you provide to this far away Soul. Searching for Leimert Park up-dates
I came across your gold mine of coverage. Please keep up the award winning work.

there's no water in St. Louis. Thanks to your videos of Leimert Park my thirst is no more. Many thanks. Your camera work brings much needed water. Sometimes the camera pans faster than I'm able to drink. Maybe pan slower so that your viewers can relish the faces, places and the space, Leimert Park. What you have created I most adore from afar. I love what you have done. Keep up the great work.

Hello Ed,
It was from a field trip.
Sorry, I never saw this comment, I know we talked after on my way to Tucson. I'm going to give you a call!

Enhager, please take a moment to listen to my BlogTalkRadio segment about Black Men & Prostate Cancer. It's a candid discussion with real Black men about this deadly disease. The information is excellent and may save someone's life. Don't forget to leave your comments. To listen go to: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/yourcoffee.
...still gettin' familiar with your paper, I would've answered sooner but I wasn't aware I had mail. It's great you were able to greet Harold for me. Say hello to Leimert Park next time you pass-by. That's right say hello to the park. thanks.
Just wanted to let you know that I tried Badaro, the wine bar near SC, about a month ago. It was fantastic. The owners, two recent USC grads, run the place like a very well oiled machine. They are very kick back and my 3 girlfriends and I had a great time. You have to be careful ordering, though. The tapas are not terribly filling and you can spend a mint before you've realized.
Oh, the comment regarding magnets, it just means we can't just stay in the same area, doing the same things over and over. We must be able to go to different areas of the city (and state, country, etc) and see what folks are doing there...get a new perspective on life!
