I enjoy Trader Joes and I sometimes go to the Culver City and Westchester locations, but I don't want the new location on Crenshaw. Corporate stores take money away from the community the same way Wal-Mart does. Trader Joes is a German company and it would directly effect the small businesses in the area, including Simply Wholesome. People need to make more of an extra effort to support small businesses, not mega chain stores.
Heather-
I just did sign it and passed it to other local residents that would also be interested. BTW, I just met today-by pure accident- a colleague of yours. Teresa Mack of Keller-Williams Reality in Westchester. Wonderful person she is. And your name came up! In a very good way. Just FYI...
I agree! So glad you are in support. Write that letter or you can click here to electronically sign the petition:

Thank you for this important info, heather. I will do my part and send an email to this individual. Having a Trader Joe's market would be a HUGE boon to the area. I have to now go to Culver City or hit one in South Bay where i work. I honestly believe an established 'gormet' store would be supported by the locals. Alberton;s is often out of stock of many things. TJ has a great selection of alternative higher quality items & always well stocked. And if a TJ is built here I'd give them ALL my business.
