RISE on KPFK "The best live radio sho- of it's kind" -  O-! Image result for mark maxwell, rise on kpfk (2:55:40) "@ the top of the set, we heard from Teddy Saunders Sextet. U mayb know him as Theo Saunders. great pianist, local pianist, Sue Blue is the album he did for the Discovery record label, way back in 1979. & we heard, the closin' cut of the 1st side called Oppornockity Tunes, which is obviously a funny play on the phrase "opportunity knocks", Oppornockity Tunes. Anyway Teddy Saunders on the Mason & Hammond baby grand piano. much lik the 1 we hav here @ KPFK. Carl Burnett on drums, Gary Barone on trumpet & flugel horn, Charles Owens on flute & sax, Dick Berk - cowbell & timbales & John Heard on the bass.
