"The STAGE's new house has come to order w/ Dwight Trible, Executive Director" -   "Nov. healthy Thanksgiving..." -
"I am very excited about our new concert series that is kicking this weekend (1st weekend of Aug. past) ... I hope everybody will come and be a part of this happening! More to to come..." - Dwight Trible
"For over 25 Years The World Stage has been the heart of the Leimert Park Village here in Los Angeles. Founded by Master Drummer, Multi-Instrumentalist Billy Higgins and Poet, Creative Artist Kamau Daaood, The World Stage Art, Education & Performance Gallery offers workshops and live performances for and by young children, budding students, rising stars, and living legends. I am among the people that credit The World Stage as essential to their life, path, and

development. Miguel Atwood-Ferguson , Kamasi Washington and Terrace Martin came out of The World Stage too.
I've had the honor of presenting concerts at The World Stage, with Gary BartzTerry Callier, and others. I was among
the few people in attendance when Billy and Kamau played their only Duet Concert. That was one of the greatest musical experiences of my life!

So many wonderful concerts have been happening, and are scheduled for the future, at THE (NEW) WORLD STAGE!

They recently moved across the street to 4321 Degnan Boulevard, and have had Phil Ranelin, Jesse Sharps, Munyungo Jackson, Charles Owens and other luminaries. Coming soon Bobby Bradford, Azar Lawrence and Bennie Maupin are all presenting their groups at The World Stage!" - Carlos Niño
