Quotes; Lik many other performance spaces, The World Stage & it's Executive Director Dwight Trible, scrambled 2 find a way 2 survive the shut-down. The most important task facin' Trible was 2 find the funding necessary 2 pay the monthly bills in order 2 keep this historic, non-profit performance space, founded by Jazz Master Billy Higgins & world renown poet Kamou Daáood, over 30 yrs. alive. The Guess Co. which is the L.A. based clothing co., ...stepped-up w/ a grant that enabled Dwight Tribe 2 not only pay-the-rent but 2 purchase recording equipment that would allow concerts 2 b livestreamed 2 audiences around-the-world. Well that answered questions i always had on how TWS managed 2 stay afloat.
