The Greater Los Angeles chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists will host an event on Nov. 17 in Leimert Park to examine the role of hyperlocal news organizations in communities of color. The discussion will focus on how online publications cover these communities and the unique challenges that they face.

- Jessica Perez, creator of Mis Neighbors
- Adolfo Flores, reporter for the Pasadena Sun, will moderate.
