Beneath the Spin * Eric L. Wattree
So Ralph Nader and Cornel West have teamed up yet
again to sabotage the Democratic Party. They’re currently canvassing the country for Democratic opponents to challenge Obama in the primaries. According to Nader, "Without debates by challengers inside the Democratic Party’s presidential primaries, the liberal/majoritarian agenda will be muted and ignored." And he goes on to say, "The one-man Democratic primaries will be dull, repetitive, and draining of both voter enthusiasm and real bright lines between the two parties that excite voters."
.
If my grandfather was still around he’s say, "These two fools have more nerve than a brass-ass monkey." And he would be right. I’m shocked that either of them have the nerve to even open their mouths, because the last time they teamed upduring the 2000 election to "excite the voters," they excited the Democratic Party right out of office. I used to joking tell friends that after Bush was sworn in, his very first act as president was to take down a picture of George Washington and replace it with a picture of Ralph Nader in the Oval Office . . . AJea,
I certainly will be watching. Romney's endorsement by Christie should make things a lot more interesting. I'm also looking forward to Perry's performance. That guy reminds me of Bush 2.0.

Hi Eric,
The rise and shine of the people waking-up is a joy for me also to behold!
The absence of the gun-toten Tea Party is speaking volums in my mind. Maybe they are out on Grover Norquist's yaught gett'n that "card party" list together. Rumor has it that access to the bifurcated blackmail contact list of the Koch boys is available. lol
Im going to be very interested in the Bloomberg/Washington Post sponsored GOPer reality show tonight. Will they debate Economics or Religion? Your reaction also would be most valuable for us. Hope you can watch.-_-*
Time will surely tell.

Hi AJea,
There are a lot of things that could be going on that we're not privy to, so while I'm watching him very closely, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt - for the moment. But by the way the people are coming out now, with these demonstrations all across the country and such, we'll know for sure soon, because it's time for everybody to pick a side and stand strong now - and I'm loving this, because it means that the people are waking up.
I have a feeling that after the next election there's not going to be enough Republicans left to throw a card party. They over played their hand by holding the people hostage once too many times, and when they started attacking Social Security and Medicare the y lost a lot of support. Have you noticed that we haven't heard much from the Tea Party lately? It's funny how fast people begin to see the light when you start talking about hitting them in the pocket. You see, at first they thought they were just talking about starving Black people, but this new wrinkle puts a new complexion on things - literally. Lol.

Hi Eric,
We agree on what the president has to provide for the majority [99%] of the people. My only problem is that we are being offered false choices with aligning "our" interest with either party.
The GOPers: Unashamedly Corporate Fascist
The Demz: Window Dressing Authority. eg On issues of National Significance, I notice that this president does not even have the "standard" OVAL OFFICE backdrop. You know, with the family pictures on the credenzza at his back. In other words, Barack Obama, in my view, looks like a stooge with NO 'real' skin in the game. lol
I Ajea,
Your right, Obama has stepped up his game, but I don't think the Tavis/West crowd had anything to do with it. They're simply being ignored. The president is simply looking at the polls, and the GOP has become so radical he's calculated that his best chance to be re-elected is to provide the people with a clear choice between himself and GOP's corporate fascism.
