Nightly Full Street Closure at La Cienega Boulevard for work on new rail bridge
Full street closures of La Cienega Boulevard between Florence Avenue and 83rd Street began this week to accommodate the building of the falsework (framing) for the Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project rail bridge that will cross the I-405 freeway.
Work has been scheduled nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday for the next 20 days.
Southbound detours:
If traveling south on La Cienega, turn west on La Tijera Boulevard, then turn south on Airport Boulevard, then turn east on Manchester Avenue, turn east on Florence Avenue, then turn south back on to La Cienega Boulevard.
Northbound detour:
If traveling north on La Cienega, turn east on Florence Avenue, turn north on La Brea Avenue, turn west on Centinela Avenue, turn north back on to La Cienega.
What to Expect:
Access for emergency responders will be maintained. There will also be westbound curb lane closures on Florence Avenue between Hyde Park and La Cienega boulevards.
