This is Deja vu!

It is unfortunate that the business that are located in LP have not, after all these years,  come together in mind and finances to purchase the properties themselves.

This is not the first go round of "others" coming into Leimert Park buying up properties. I would think they would have learned a lesson the first time it happened.

In addition, there are many other reasons that this area may fade out in addition to Mr. Parks having no real love/investment for the area, and that is the merchants themselves. These folks (although well intentioned), will not change things! They resist change! How can you not change when the world/city has changed?

Most will shop with these merchants when they are looking for something cultural, however they do not shop for these items weekly or even monthly. These merchants need to sell other items of interest, or encourage other types of businesses that the public want in the area!

You can't keep doing the same things and expect a different result!

I suggest to those who have been given a notice that their lease will not be renewed to start looking for other properties to lease that will be near or right at the Station. To others, please don't  sit there thinking that simply because you have a business in Leimert Park that it will be enough for them (owners) to see things your way
.
Ain't gonna happen!.

This is a question for Herb Wesson.

The stagnation that's present now on these projects occurred after Bernard Parks left CD10. I feel like nothing is happening now--unbelievable!!!  Just my opinion.

Heather,

I am just speechless.

Are we to infer by this article that the Quality Of Life Plan of 2009 set forth by Community Build has stalled along with Kaiser Foundation's Redevelopment of Marlton Square?

Please say it aint so!
