An appeal has been filed with with the Zoning Administrator objecting to the issuance of a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) which will allow the future Fresh & Easy at 52nd and Crenshaw to sell beer and wine, as nearly all other full-service grocery stores do. Regardless of how you feel about alcohol, our community needs more fresh, healthy food, and revoking the permit could doom the entire project!
Come show your support at the hearing!

From a risk vs reward perspective. I see a far greater reward for our community in receiving a "conditional-use" permit than would be the risk of the appreciated concern for an element of alcoholic blight that 'may' insue from the sale of alcoholic beverages in conjunction w/groceries.
Surely this meager upgrade project would give a positive spike in our communities property values; community-pride; and above all, the 'chance' to raise an awareness of the importance of a responsible standard on the consumption of alcohol in the first place.
I think its a great opportunity and think we should stand in support of seeing this project bring Jobs, Pride & Value to the quality of our lives. Its time for a face-lift neighbors-_-*
